
CBL – The stock market returned 0.29% today, as gains in three equities pushed the GSE-Composite Index up 2.93 points, to close at 1,028.83 points. The year-to-date return went beyond the 6% mark at 6.17%. The financial stock index also gained some ground; up 0.43 points to close at 861.80 points.
The trade value increased by more than twenty-fold, and the volume, by
seven-fold, compared to the previous session, as 0.68 million shares were exchanged for GHS 1.51 million. Trading was dominated by Fan Milk Ltd, (FML) with 74.62% of the trade volume and 94% of the value traded.AngloGold Ashanti Depository shares (AADS) and FML closed at year-highs of GHS0.53 and GHS2.74 respectively. Ecobank Ghana (EBG) went up by a pesewa to close at GHS3.11. The Gold Fund ETF (GLD) also increased by 1.48%, closing at GHS32.28, from GHS31.81. EGL recorded the only loss.
